CPN (UML) Secretariat Meeting Discusses Work Division Proposal

Kathmandu. Discussions have begun in the CPN (UML) Secretariat meeting regarding the party's work division proposal.

In the meeting held on Sunday, during the course of expressing their views, four secretaries presented important suggestions regarding the party's future strategy and organizational structure. 

During the meeting, Secretary Sherdhan Rai emphasized radical change and restructuring, keeping in mind the party's current situation. He stated that ruthless review and organizational reform are essential to take the party to new heights. 

Secretary Rai emphasized the need for a ruthless review of the party's defeat in the last election. A member participating in the meeting said, 'We must move forward by clearly identifying the internal and external reasons behind the electoral defeat and pledging to correct the shortcomings.' 

That member has presented a special proposal in the secretariat to move the party forward in a new way, dispelling the disappointment, confusion, and deviation seen in the party ranks recently. In that context, he has demanded the formation of a special 'task force' with the objective of submitting suggestions and reports for the restructuring of the party's internal life. 

Similarly, his statement is that the party needs to be further strengthened by facing the complex challenges that have emerged in the current national politics. He emphasized the need to prepare an organizational structure capable of fulfilling the party's responsibilities in the coming days and to make the work division effective for that. 

It is understood that the party leadership is doing further homework on how to address these suggestions from the office bearers in the Secretariat meeting. The current discussion is being viewed with great importance within the UML to overcome the post-election disappointment and to make the organization dynamic. 

Today, along with Rai, Yamlal Kandel, Khagraj Adhikari, and Bhanubhakta Dhakal expressed their views. The meeting is being prepared to be concluded today.
