Powerful Explosion Derails Passenger Train in Pakistan's Balochistan

Islamabad. Many coaches of a passenger train have derailed due to a powerful explosion in Pakistan's restive Balochistan region. The incident occurred in the state capital Quetta. 

A large plume of black smoke was seen rising from the train after the explosion. According to reports, the accident happened near the Man Phatak area of Quetta. A powerful explosion occurred near the railway track as the train was coming from the cantonment. 

The intensity of the explosion was such that many coaches fell off the track. As soon as one coach caught fire, relief and rescue work was started. Teams from the railway, police, and security agencies reached the spot and safely evacuated the passengers. 

The injured have been taken to nearby hospitals. The death toll in this incident has not been confirmed so far.
