Former President Bhandari Remembers Madan Bhandari as a Visionary Leader

Kathmandu. Former President Bidya Devi Bhandari has remembered people's leader Madan Bhandari not just as a political leader but as a leader who shaped ideology. Former President Bidya Devi Bhandari praised her late husband Bhandari at the 'Madan Bhandari in Media' book discussion and youth debate program held in Kathmandu. 

She discussed that Madan was also a thinker, ideologue who provided a strong theoretical basis to the political movement and a skilled leader who connected the aspirations of the people with political programs. 

Portraying Madan as a media-friendly, well-known politician who deeply understood the power of communication, the importance of public opinion, and the influence of ideas, she mentioned that the dialogues Madan had with journalists at that time are still relevant today. 

Stating that faith in democracy, political ethics, good governance, social justice, and questions of national unity are still the main subjects of national debate, former President Bhandari said that it is necessary to seriously study Madan's ideas and use them in a timely manner. 

She said – 'It is also an important responsibility of the younger generation to seriously study the ideas of people's leader Madan Bhandari, have extensive discussions, and further develop and use them in a timely manner.'
