MP Harkaraj Rai Suggests PM Balendra Shah Should Resign If Unable to Fulfill Duties

Kathmandu. Labour Culture Party MP Harkaraj Rai (Sampang) has said that it would be good for Prime Minister Balendra Shah to pave the way if he is unable to fulfill his duties. After standing up from his seat and showing a placard as soon as the House of Representatives meeting began on Thursday, Speaker Dolprasad Aryal gave him time to speak.

MP Rai said that although the parliament rules state that the concerned minister must answer questions raised by MPs within 7 days, they have not yet received answers to the questions they raised on Jestha 28. He said that since the Home and Defence Ministries are held by Prime Minister Shah, Prime Minister Shah himself should come to the House of Representatives and answer the questions raised by them regarding the Lipulek border and security.

He has been continuously standing up from his seat and showing a placard in the House of Representatives meetings since Jestha 4. He continued that today as well.
