'Karuppu' Film Nears 100 Crore Mark in 5 Days

Mumbai. South Indian superstar Surya and actress Trisha Krishnan starrer film 'Karuppu's' earnings have neared 100 crore (Indian Rupees). The film's earnings are about to touch the 100 crore mark within 5 days of its release. 

The film directed by RJ Balaji, which was released last Friday, had an encouraging business from the beginning at the box office. The film managed to earn 15.50 crore on the first day, 24.15 crore on the second day, 28.35 crore on the third day (Sunday), 14.30 crore on the fourth day (Monday), and 8.65 crore rupees on the fifth day (Tuesday). 

The film has done a total business of 90.95 crore in five days. 

'Karuppu' is a film based on the story of a greedy lawyer, who always sides with the rich and oppresses the poor. Surya plays the role of 'Karuppusamy' in the film, who later emerges as a messiah for the poor.

The film stars Indrans, Natty Subramanyam, Swasika, Shivada, Supreet Reddy, and Yogi Babu in lead roles along with Surya and Trisha Krishnan.
