Roads Affected by Floods and Landslides Across Nepal

Kathmandu. Floods and landslides in various parts of Nepal have affected the country's main highways. According to details released by the Nepal Police this morning, traffic has been disrupted on various road sections in Koshi, Bagmati, Gandaki, and Karnali provinces.

Traffic has been affected in Bhojpur and Sankhuwasabha in Koshi Province. The Mid-Hilly Local Road is operating only one-way due to floods in Bokhim, Bhojpur Municipality-5, where an alternative route has also been arranged. Similarly, the Koshi Highway is also operating only one-way due to a landslide in Nyabasti, Makalu Rural Municipality-3, Sankhuwasabha.

Traffic has been stopped on the BP Highway in the Khurkot-Nepalthok-Katuñjebesi road section of Kavrepalanchok, keeping in mind the possibility of floods.

Lamjung and Myagdi districts have been more affected in Gandaki Province. The Mid-Hilly Local Road is completely blocked due to a landslide in Bimirebhanjyang, Madhyanepal Municipality-10, Lamjung. In Annapurna Rural Municipality-3, Myagdi, the Beni-Jomsom road section is operating only one-way due to a landslide.

Traffic has been stopped on the Hilsa-Simkot road section in Humla District, Namkha Rural Municipality-2, Karnali Province, due to increased risk of landslides.
