Protest in Kathmandu Over Israel Employment Process Delays

Kathmandu. Victims of the Israel employment process have protested at Maitighar Mandala in Kathmandu against the delays and uncertainty. Youth who have been waiting for the Israel employment process for the past two years have complained that they are being subjected to injustice due to the irresponsible working style of the government and concerned bodies.

The protesters stated that although the Department of Foreign Employment has repeatedly assured that the Israel employment process will open, no official information has been published so far. According to them, responsible officials of the department have been giving assurances that candidates not selected in the lottery held in BS 2081 will be automatically included in the new quota. Based on this assurance, thousands of youth have been waiting for a long time.

The candidates participating in the protest said that it is unjust to make them participate in a new lucky draw process again. They became more angry after news was published in the media that 2300 new quotas would be opened for Israel and that old candidates would also have to participate in the lottery again.

The candidates stated that they have been submitting memorandums to the Department of Foreign Employment, the Ministry of Labor, Employment and Social Security, and the Ministry of Foreign Affairs repeatedly. They have demanded that a separate quota should be secured for eligible candidates who have completed all the processes for a long time.
