Nepal Women's Cricket Team to Play Two T20 Practice Matches Against Malaysia

Kathmandu. The Cricket Association of Nepal (CAN) has informed that the Nepali team will play two T20 practice matches against the home team in preparation for the Asian Games Women's Qualifier, 2026 to be held in Malaysia.

According to a press release issued by CAN spokesperson Chhumbi Lama on Monday, the Asian Games Women's Qualifier will be held in Malaysia from May 23 to 31. For the special preparation of the same competition, two friendly matches will be played between the Nepali and Malaysian women's national cricket teams in Malaysia.

According to the public game schedule, the first T20 match between Nepal and Malaysia will be held on May 20. Similarly, the second match will be played on May 22, CAN has stated.

This series, which is to be held before the start of the qualifying matches, is seen as an opportunity to strengthen the preparation and strategy of the Nepali women's team.
