Qatar PM, Saudi FM Discuss Regional Developments, Ceasefire Efforts

Doha. Prime Minister and Foreign Minister of Qatar Sheikh Mohammed bin Abdulrahman bin Jassim Al Thani held a telephone conversation with Saudi Arabia's Foreign Minister Prince Faisal bin Farhan Al Saud. According to a statement issued from Doha, the discussion focused on bilateral relations between the two countries and recent regional developments.

During the talks, special attention was given to the ceasefire between the United States and Iran, efforts to reduce regional tensions, and mediation initiatives. Qatari Prime Minister Sheikh Mohammed emphasized the need to move forward through dialogue to resolve the root causes of the crisis. 

He urged all parties to respond positively to ongoing diplomatic and mediation efforts. Stating that a long-term and sustainable agreement is necessary, he said that political dialogue is the most effective way to prevent future tensions from escalating again.
