Pakistan Interior Minister Arrives in Tehran to Facilitate US-Iran Peace Talks

Kathmandu. Pakistan's Interior Minister has reached Tehran on Saturday to facilitate the peace talks between America and Iran, which had stopped after the ceasefire agreement.

“Pakistani Interior Minister Mohsin Naqvi has arrived in Iran for a two-day official visit, the Iranian Tasnim News Agency has written”, He arrived in Iran on Saturday as part of Pakistan's efforts to promote regional peace.”

Iran's Interior Minister Iskandar Momeni welcomed Naqvi a few days after the visit of Pakistan's influential Army Chief Field Marshal Asim Munir to Tehran.

Islamabad has been actively mediating in the peace talks between Iran and America. Pakistan had organized a high-level meeting between representatives of both parties last month.

The ceasefire that started on April 8 has stopped the ceasefire that started after the American and Israeli forces attacked Iran on February 28.

Meanwhile, Iran's Foreign Minister Abbas Araghchi said that Tehran has received a message from Washington that the administration of US President Donald Trump is willing to negotiate.

Iran's chief negotiator and Speaker of the Iranian Parliament Mohammad Bagher Ghalibaf said on Tuesday, “Washington must accept Tehran's proposal for peace, otherwise the peace talks will be broken.”

'We have no option but to accept the rights of the Iranian people as mentioned in the '14-point proposal. Any other perspective will be completely unacceptable,' Ghalibaf said in a post on social media.
