India Increases Petrol and Diesel Prices by 3 Rupees Per Liter

New Delhi. The price of petrol and diesel in India has increased by 3 rupees per liter. With the price increase, petrol in Delhi has now reached 97.77 Indian rupees per liter. 

Similarly, the price of diesel has also increased from 87.67 rupees per liter to 90.67 rupees per liter. This new rate has been implemented from today.

The main reason for the price increase is considered to be the fluctuation in the price of crude oil in the international market. Before the tension between Iran and America increased, the price of crude oil was around 70 dollars per barrel, which has now increased to over 100 dollars.

As crude oil became expensive in the international market, oil companies were under great pressure. The companies have taken the step of increasing the price to cover their losses. If the price of crude oil remains high for a long time, there is a possibility that the price of petrol and diesel may increase further in the coming days.
