Traffic Halted on BP Highway and Humla Road Due to Flooding Risk and Road Construction

Kathmandu. Traffic has been stopped on the BP Highway in Kavrepalanchok-Sindhuli and the Hilsa-Simkot road section in Humla due to potential floods and road construction work.

The Police Headquarters issued a notice today stating that traffic has been stopped on the BP Highway running from Khurkot-Nepalthok-Katunjebesi in Kavrepalanchok to Sindhuli, keeping in mind the risk of potential floods. According to the police, all vehicles plying on this road section from 5:00 PM on Baisakh 21, 2083, to 5:00 AM have been closed until further notice.

Similarly, traffic has also been stopped on the Hilsa-Simkot road section in Humla due to road expansion work in the Chyuduk area of Namkha Rural Municipality-2. The police have stated that due to the increased risk of stones and soil falling from above during the excavation of the road from Chyuduk Hotel to Chyachhara, traffic on this road section has been stopped from Baisakh 29 to Jestha 2.
