US Business Leaders to Join Trump's China Visit Amid Trade Tensions

Washington DC. Top executives from the American trade and technology sectors will participate in US President Donald Trump's visit to China this week. According to the BBC, the delegation accompanying Trump to China includes 17 prominent American businessmen, including Apple CEO Tim Cook and Tesla and SpaceX CEO Elon Musk.

During this visit, Trump is scheduled to meet with Xi Jinping. This meeting is being considered significant amidst the growing economic and technological competition between the US and China. The delegation also includes Meta's President and Vice Chair Dina Powell McCormick, Boeing's Chief Kelly Ortberg, Visa's Chief Ryan McInerney, Blackstone's Stephen Schwarzman, and other officials from the financial, technology, and manufacturing sectors.

However, the head of chip manufacturing company Nvidia, Jensen Huang, is not included in this team. Nvidia is considered a company at the center of the US-China competition in chips and artificial intelligence (AI). In an interview with CNBC last week, Jensen Huang had stated that it would be an honor to participate in the China visit if invited.
