Passport Delivery Service Launched in Kanchanpur

Mahendranagar. As per the agreement on passport distribution between the District Administration Office, Kanchanpur and the District Post Office ten days ago, the 'Halakars' are ready to deliver passports to the service recipients' homes.

The categoryless employees who deliver letters, newspapers, and parcels to the concerned individuals at the post office are called 'Halakars'. While the District Post Office is modernizing postal services and operating a 'Government Courier Service', with the agreement with the administration office, it has prepared to facilitate service recipients who want passports at their homes in the coming days.

Saroj Pandey, chief of the District Post Office, informed that the process of delivering passports to homes has started after the agreement with the administration office. "Service recipients who want passports at home have started filling out a separate form with their address along with the passport form at the administration office," said Chief Pandey. "Within the next two weeks, as soon as new passports arrive in the district, postal employees will start distributing them across the district." He informed that the post offices in all nine local levels of Kanchanpur are ready for this.

"There are 54 employees in the district in positions such as postal carriers, letter distributors, mail carriers, postal representatives, and Halakars," said Pandey. "Halakars (categoryless employees) will deliver the received passports to the service recipients' homes." In Kanchanpur, which has two rural municipalities and seven municipalities, services are being provided through post offices in all local levels. "The youngest post office here, Laljhadi, was established recently," he said. "We believe that the compulsion for service recipients to come to the office to collect passports will now end."

This service has been implemented in accordance with the government's policy of providing government services at home, mentioned in point number 27 of the approved 100 work agendas of the government, according to the District Administration Office, Kanchanpur. The administration office has issued a public notice informing that the service of delivering passports to the service recipients' homes has already started.
