Singer Ramkrishna Dhakal Files Police Complaint Over Character Assassination on Social Media

Kathmandu. Singer Ramkrishna Dhakal has filed a complaint with the police alleging character assassination on social media. He has filed a complaint with the Cyber Bureau stating that there has been misleading propaganda and defamation against him. SP Dilip Kumar Giri of the Cyber Bureau told Ratopati that Dhakal filed the complaint on Thursday. Dhakal has urged the police to take legal action against the misleading propaganda, stating that it is unbearable. Recently, posts insulting Dhakal have been going viral on Facebook. Social media users have been criticizing him over the issue of him driving a vehicle while transporting Rastriya Swatantra Party President Ravi Lamichhane from Nakhkhu Jail during a Jenji performance. Dhakal wrote on social media about the complaint, 'Such activities have caused serious damage to my personal life and professional reputation.' Dhakal also stated that he has been continuously attacked from a Facebook page operated from Japan. He has demanded an investigation into the Facebook IDs spreading hatred and causing him mental stress and action against those involved.
