Robbery Attempt Foiled by Brave Woman at Kathmandu Silver Shop

Kathmandu. Robbers attempted a robbery at a silver shop in Bhedasingh, Kathmandu. On Baisakh 17, two robbers entered the silver shop and tried to loot by showing a pistol to the shop owner.

Although the robbers tried to loot by closing the shutter, the young woman staying in the shop resisted. Initially, there was a scuffle between the robbers and the young woman. When the young woman attacked by raising a chair, the robbers fled after opening the shutter.

Initially, one young man entered and showed a pistol. The young woman staying in the shop was using her mobile. After another young man entered the shop, the two attacked. However, the young woman resisted and chased the robbers away. SP Pawan Bhattarai of the District Police Range, Kathmandu, said that the robbery was not successful due to the resistance of the young woman staying in the shop. The police are investigating the identity of those involved in the robbery.

The CCTV footage of the incident that occurred at 2 PM on Baisakh 17 has gone viral on social media. SP Bhattarai informed that efforts are underway to identify the perpetrators of the attempted robbery.

Four months ago, robbers looted 4 lakh cash and 3 mobile phones in the New Road area. Two of the looted mobile phones were iPhones. Police officers involved in the investigation believe that the same group attempted to rob the silver shop.
