Nepal Welcomes Over 107,000 Tourists in April 2026

Kathmandu. More than 107,000 tourists have entered Nepal in April 2026. According to the data released by the Nepal Tourism Board on Monday, 107,934 foreign tourists entered Nepal in April 2026.

According to the board's data, looking at the sector-wise, the largest number of 33,432 tourists entered from South Asia (SAARC). Which is 31 percent of the total arrival.

After that, 26,726 tourists entered from Asian countries from South Asia. 21,988 from Europe, 5,898 from Oceania, 2,518 from America, 1,697 from West Asia, 315 from African countries, and 15,360 tourists entered from other countries.

In terms of countries, China is seen as a major source market after India, while the number of tourists coming from other Asian countries, Europe, and America is also gradually increasing.

This indicates that Nepal's tourism market is expanding from single dependency to multiple sources. Looking at the country-wise data, 15,196 tourists entered from the country, 11,722 from China, and 5,231 tourists entered from Bangladesh.

In April 2025, 116,490 tourists had entered, while before the Corona pandemic, in April 2019, 109,399 tourists had entered.

The board states that due to the escalating conflict in West Asia, disruption in air access, and impact on international promotion, the tourist arrivals in April have been somewhat affected.
