Inter Milan Wins 21st Serie A Title After Defeating Parma 2-0

Milan. Inter Milan has won the 21st Italian Serie A title (Scudetto) by securing a spectacular 2-0 victory over Parma. 

Inter achieved the success of becoming champions with three games left in the league, thanks to goals from Marcus Thuram and Henrikh Mkhitaryan in the match held at their home ground, San Siro. 

Inter, which last won the title in 2024, has established a clear 12-point lead over defending champions Napoli with this victory. In the injury time of the first half, Marcus Thuram scored an excellent goal to give Inter the initial lead. He found the net, deceiving Parma's goalkeeper, Jayden Suzuki. 

Inter had to wait until the 80th minute for the second goal. Henrikh Mkhitaryan, who came on as a substitute, scored from a pass by Lautaro Martinez, securing the team's victory and the title. 

This victory was special for Inter's coach, Christian Chivu. Chivu, who won Serie A three times with Inter as a player, has lifted his first major trophy as a coach. 

He had stated before the match that he wanted to end the title race as soon as possible. Inter, maintaining 59 percent ball possession throughout the match, did not allow the visiting team, Parma, to take a single shot on target. 

Having won 26 out of 35 matches this season, Inter has proven its attacking form by scoring 19 goals in the last six games alone.
