Arsenal Extends Premier League Lead to Six Points with Dominant Fulham Victory

In a match at the Emirates Stadium on Saturday night, Arsenal comfortably defeated Fulham 3-0 with the stellar performances of Bukayo Saka and Viktor Gyökeres.

This victory for Mikel Arteta's team has put significant pressure on main competitor Manchester City, who have played two fewer games and are set to visit Everton on Monday.

Arsenal put Fulham under pressure from the start of the game. Bukayo Saka, who had been out of action since March due to injury, put in an impressive performance in his comeback match.

In the ninth minute of the game, Saka's pass, after evading Raul Jimenez from the right flank, allowed Viktor Gyökeres to score, giving Arsenal the lead. This was Gyökeres's 20th goal of the season. Five minutes before the end of the first half, Gyökeres, with a pass from Leandro Trossard, created a move and beat Fulham's keeper Bernd Leno to find the back of the net.

In the first half's injury time, Gyökeres scored his second goal of the match, securing Arsenal's victory. He scored with a header from Leandro Trossard's cross, bringing his total goal count for this season to 21.

Arsenal had further opportunities to score in the second half. Riccardo Calafiori's header hit the crossbar and went out, and another shot by him was disallowed due to offside. After taking a 3-0 lead in the first half, Arsenal merely controlled the game in the second half.

Coach Arteta had made five changes to the team, keeping in mind the second leg of the Champions League semi-final against Atletico Madrid scheduled for next Tuesday. Saka was given a rest in the second half, and other key players were also substituted early.
