Nawalparasi Nepali Congress District President Arjun Pokharel Resigns Due to Health Issues

Butwal. Nawalparasi Nepali Congress District President Arjun Pokharel has resigned from his post.

He informed that he resigned from the post of president citing health problems.

Pokharel said that he resigned from his responsibilities stating that he could not regularly participate in party programs. Talking to Ratopati, he said, 'I have health problems. I resigned with the objective that active friends than me would run the party better.'

Even after being elected from the 14th general convention, he had been giving acting responsibilities to the vice-president for a long time. Pokharel expressed confidence that after his resignation, discussions will be held within the party on how to take the district leadership forward and a decision will be made.
