Israeli Attacks in Southern Lebanon Kill 13, Health Ministry Reports

Thirteen people were killed in Israeli attacks in southern Lebanon, the Lebanese Ministry of Health said. The Israeli army had issued an evacuation order despite the ceasefire.

Eight people, including a child and two women, were killed and 21 others injured in an attack in Habbous, Lebanon, the ministry said.

Similarly, in Jarriya, four people, including two women, were killed and four more injured in other attacks.

The ministry also reported that one person was killed and seven others injured in an attack near the coastal city of Tyre.

Israel had previously issued an evacuation warning for Habbous.

The Lebanese National News Agency (NNA) reported that Israeli fighter jets began their attack less than an hour after the warning.

The Israeli army stated that it would use force against Hezbollah following violations of the ceasefire agreement by the Iran-backed group, urging local residents to flee to open areas at least one kilometer away from the city.

NNA also reported Israeli shelling in various locations in southern Lebanon, including Tyre.

Israel has continued deadly attacks in Lebanon despite the ceasefire reached on April 17-17 to stop the long war between Israel and Hezbollah.

The ceasefire grants Israel the right to act against planned attacks.

NNA reported that the Israeli army destroyed
