Narayangarh-Butwal Road Eastern Section's Daunne One-Way Paving Completed

Nawalparasi. Under the Narayangadh-Butwal Road Expansion Project, the one-way paving work on the eastern section of Daunne has been completed. According to Shiv Khanal, Information Officer of the eastern section of the project, the one-way paving work has been completed in Daunne. He said that out of the approximately four kilometers of the eastern section, the one-way paving work has been completed.< /p>

With the completion of the one-way paving work, traffic will soon be operating on the paved road in that area. Due to the incomplete paving work in Daunne, vehicles have been facing traffic jams during normal rainfall. Information Officer Khanal said that after fourteen days are completed, travel can be done on the paved road in the eastern section of Daunne. "The one-way paving work in Daunne has been completed, and travel will be easier soon," said Information Officer Khanal.< /p>

With the completion of the one-way paving work in Daunne, the entire 65-kilometer road of the eastern section under the Narayangadh-Butwal Road Project has been connected with blacktopping and paving, informed Information Officer Khanal. "The one-way paving work in Daunne has been completed, and with this, the entire 65-kilometer road has been connected with blacktopping and paved roads," said Information Officer Khanal, "After another fourteen days, travel can be done on the blacktopped and paved roads in all areas of the eastern section." Although the eastern section of Daunne is connected by a paved road, the paving work on the western section is still not fully completed.< /p>

The Narayangadh-Butwal Road expansion work was contracted on Magh 24, 2075 BS, and China State Construction Corporation Pvt. Ltd. started the work with the completion date of Saun 22, 2079 BS. The total 113 kilometers of the Narayangadh-Butwal road was divided into two sections for the work. The deadline was extended several times due to the non-completion of the work within the stipulated time. The work is currently progressing within the fourth extended deadline. Seven years after the project started, travel on this section is becoming easier.< /p>

The road expansion project, which is being carried out with loan assistance from the Asian Development Bank (ADB), has a total cost of approximately Rs 17 billion for both sections.< /p>
