Balaju Squatter Settlement Residents Relocate Belongings

Kathmandu. Those residing in the Balaju squatter settlement are busy moving their belongings to safe places. After it was announced that bulldozers would be used from 7 AM, belongings were moved throughout the night. However, bulldozers have not yet been used as of 8 AM. 90 percent of the squatters in this settlement are vacating their shacks themselves. Currently, not only room furnishings but also bricks and wood from the houses and shacks are being removed by themselves.
