Nepal Braces for Thunderstorms, Rain, and Snowfall Across Multiple Regions

Kathmandu. Currently, Nepal is under the influence of westerly and local winds along with a low-pressure area in the lower atmosphere near the eastern parts of Nepal, the Department of Hydrology and Meteorology has stated. Due to this influence, the entire country is currently experiencing cloudy weather. 

Today afternoon, the weather will be generally cloudy across the country. There is a possibility of moderate thunderstorms and snowfall in some places in the Koshi and Madhesh provinces, as well as in the hilly and mountainous regions, and in a few places in the Tarai region. 

Tonight, the mountainous regions of the country will be generally cloudy, while the hilly and Tarai regions will be partly cloudy. 

There is a possibility of moderate rain and snowfall in some places in the hilly and mountainous regions of the Koshi, Bagmati, and Gandaki provinces, and in a few places in the remaining regions, the Department has stated.
