Kathmandu Mayor Recommends 5 Ordinances to President in 2 Days

Kathmandu. The government led by Balendra Shah (Balen) has recommended 5 ordinances to President Ram Chandra Paudel in 2 days. Ordinances were recommended for issuance on April 27 and 28.

A statement issued after a meeting of the CPN-UML, Communist Party of Nepal, Rastriya Prajatantra Party, and others at the parliamentary party office of the Nepali Congress in Singha Durbar stated that the government recommended ordinances to amend the Constitutional Council (Function, Duties and Powers) Act, 2066 and the Cooperative Act, 2074 on April 27, and ordinances related to health science institutes, an ordinance to amend some Nepal laws, and an ordinance related to universities for issuance on April 28.

The statement, signed by Nepali Congress Parliamentary Party leader Bhishma Raj Angdembe, CPN-UML Parliamentary Party leader Ram Bahadur Thapa 'Badal', Chief Whip of the Communist Party of Nepal Yuvraj Dulal, and Rastriya Prajatantra Party MP Saraswati Lama, mentioned that the government recommended 5 ordinances in two days.
