Rastriya Swatantra Party Directs MPs to Avoid 'Honorable' Title, Standardize Stationery

Kathmandu. The Rastriya Swatantra Party (RSP) has instructed its lawmakers to adopt uniformity in documents such as MPs' letterheads and cards. It has also directed them not to use the address 'Honorable' on any of their documents.

Spokesperson Manish Jha informed that such a directive was given in an informal meeting held on Wednesday at the party's parliamentary office in Singh Durbar.

The RSP has suggested that MPs still have much to learn, advising all lawmakers to practice mentorship and seek advice and suggestions as much as possible.

'As the practice of the Candidate Club will begin from Baisakh 20 for selecting suitable candidates in the upcoming elections and for pre-election training, there is a directive that no one should make any commitment to anyone regarding tickets for the upcoming elections,' the RSP stated. Furthermore, the RSP has warned of action if any such malpractice is found in violation of the directive.

Earlier, a video had surfaced showing MP Bishwaraj Pokharel scolding a school principal for not welcoming him as 'Honorable' in the district.
