Landslide Blocks Mid-Himalayan Highway Section in Lamjung

Lamjung. The Lamjung section of the Mid-Himalayan Highway has been obstructed due to a landslide following rainfall. The road has been blocked since this morning due to a landslide in Bimire Bhanjyang of Madhya Nepal Municipality 10, according to Gyanendra Bahadur Kshetri, Information Officer at the District Police Office, Lamjung.

He said, "Due to continuous rainfall since last night, the landslide in that area has obstructed the movement of vehicles on the highway."

Although efforts are underway to clear the landslide immediately, the police stated that it will take time to clear due to the ongoing rain. Additionally, the police have reported that vehicles cannot operate due to high water levels in the various rivers along this road section.
