Former Nepali Congress President Khadka Congratulates Angdembe on Becoming Parliamentary Party Leader

Kathmandu. Former Nepali Congress President Purna Bahadur Khadka has congratulated Bhishma Raj Angdembe, who was elected as the leader of the parliamentary party, wishing him to make the responsibility of the leader of the main opposition party historic and significant.

Angdembe, who became the leader of the party unanimously on Monday, visited Khadka's residence in Golfutar on Tuesday morning to meet Khadka. While congratulating Angdembe, who came to meet him, Khadka suggested strengthening the role in the overall parliamentary process.

"As the Nepali Congress is present as the second largest political party in the structure of this parliament, the role in the overall parliamentary process will be historic and significant in the capacity of the leader of the main opposition party," Khadka said while extending his best wishes.

While extending his best wishes, Khadka further said, "I heartily congratulate my friend/brother Bhishma Raj Angdembe, former joint general secretary and leader of the Nepali Congress party, on being unanimously elected as the leader of the parliamentary party of the Nepali Congress and wish him complete success in his tenure."

He also suggested Angdembe make his role as a member of the Constitutional Council more effective. "His role as a member of the Constitutional Council will be more effective and significant," Khadka said.
