APF Club Advances to Final of Om Sai Pathibhara Chandragadhi Women's Gold Cup

Jhapa. In the second semifinal match of the ongoing first 'Om Sai Pathibhara Chandragadhi Women's Gold Cup' football tournament held at Mechi Stadium, the Armed Police Force (APF) Club emerged victorious and secured a spot in the final.

APF defeated Church Boys United 3-0 to move closer to the title. APF will face Tribhuvan Army Club in the final match scheduled for next Monday. Rashmi Kumari Ghising gave APF the lead in the 34th minute. Ghising found the back of the net after receiving a cross pass from Kusum Khatiwada via Anita Basnet.

Leading 1-0 in the first half, APF added two more goals in the second half. Captain Anita Basnet doubled the lead in the 49th minute, scoring from a pass provided by Rashmi Kumari Ghising.

In the 62nd minute, Rashmi Kumari Ghising scored her second goal of the match, sealing the victory for APF. Throughout the game, APF maintained an aggressive style of play, while Church Boys United adopted a defensive strategy. APF's Renuka Nagarkoti was declared the 'Player of the Match' and received a cash prize of Rs 11,000.

The winner of the tournament will receive Rs 1.1 million, while the runner-up will receive Rs 500,000. Additionally, the organizers stated that the best player will receive Rs 100,000, and the best goalkeeper, defender, midfielder, forward, and coach will each receive Rs 25,000.
