Man arrested for robbery and ATM vandalism in Kathmandu

Kathmandu. A young man has been arrested on charges of robbery and vandalizing a bank ATM machine in New Road, Kathmandu. The police took 21-year-old Sabin Nepali, a resident of Hariharpurgadhi Rural Municipality-8, Kyankhola, Sindhuli, currently living in Asan, Kathmandu Metropolitan City-27, into custody on Thursday.

On Wednesday night, Sabin assaulted and robbed an individual in an alley at Ramghat, New Road. Investigations revealed that he also vandalized a Global IME Bank ATM machine at Gongabu Chowk on Thursday morning. 

A team from the Kathmandu Valley Crime Investigation Office, deployed to investigate the incident, successfully apprehended him from Samakhusi.

Police stated that the arrested individual has been sent to the District Police Range, Kathmandu, for further investigation and legal action. He will be prosecuted under charges of robbery and vandalism of public property.
