Rolpa – Two people died on the spot in a tractor accident that took place at Madi rural municipality-1, Dharwang in Rolpa district last night.
Police confirmed that the cement-loaded tractor (Ra 1 Ta 1507) en route to Wot from Madi rural municipality-2 Ghartigaun met with the accident at 8.30 pm yesterday.
The deceased have been identified as tractor driver Asharam Chaudhary, 27, of Dang Tuslipur sub-metropolis-7 and Dambar Bahadur Bali, 18, of Gangadev rural municipality, Rolpa.
Immediately after the accident, a team from the Area Police Office had rushed to the site and recovered the dead bodies.
The dead bodies now are kept at the Area Police Office and preparation is underway to take the bodies to the District Hospital Reucha for post-mortem, informed DSP at District Police Office Gyanendra Phuyal.
The tractor that fell down some 500 metres off the road was heavily damaged. ---
