Woman arrested in Pokhara with significant quantity of brown sugar and cash

Pokhara. A woman has been arrested in Pokhara with a large amount of cash and brown sugar. The Kaski District Police Office apprehended 27-year-old Mandira Magar from Phulbari, Pokhara-11. During the raid, 102.37 grams of brown sugar and 900,000 rupees in cash were seized from her possession.

Kaski police stated that a digital scale used for weighing brown sugar and a mobile phone were also confiscated. She is a permanent resident of Madhya Nepal-6, Lamjung, and was currently living in a rented room in Pokhara. Information Officer Inspector Ganesh Pandey of Kaski Police confirmed that the items were recovered from her room.

Further investigation into the matter is underway. The police conducted the raid based on a tip-off regarding the distribution of illegal drugs. 

The seized brown sugar and cash have been sent for laboratory testing. Pandey stated that she has been taken to court to extend her remand for further investigation.
