Police Arrest 12 Individuals Across Nepal in Drug Crackdown

Kathmandu. A police team on regular patrol has arrested 12 individuals from various parts of the country for possession of illegal drugs.

According to the Central Police Newsroom, 20-year-old Arun Chaudhary from Bedkot Municipality-7, Kanchanpur, was arrested from Nagdhunga, Chandragiri Municipality-2, with brown sugar.

Similarly, 47-year-old Deepak Shrestha was arrested from Machhapokhari, Kathmandu Metropolitan City-16, for possessing various prescription-only medications without a doctor's recommendation.

In Morang, Bal Bahadur Shrestha of Urlabari Municipality-9 was arrested from his own home. Additionally, four individuals were arrested from the DN Rudra Plaza Hotel in Godawari Municipality-4, Kailali, while two were apprehended from Sri Lanka Mukta Kamaiya Tole in Dhangadhi Sub-Metropolitan City-13, and two more from Tikapur Municipality-1, all in possession of brown heroin and digital scales.

Furthermore, 25-year-old Ashok Rai from Majtole, Belka Municipality-8, Udayapur, was arrested from Kothu, Belka Municipality-8, with 27 kilograms of marijuana.
