Lalitpur Police Arrest Suspect in Gold Chain Snatching Case

Lalitpur. Police have arrested a youth involved in a gold chain snatching incident near Shankhamul Children's Park in Lalitpur Metropolitan City-11. The arrested individual is 32-year-old Ricky Dangol, a resident of Lalitpur Metropolitan City-20, Kuheni.

A special team deployed from the District Police Range, Lalitpur, took him into custody on Wednesday. Police had launched a detailed investigation to track down Dangol, who had fled after snatching a gold chain from a woman walking in the park last Monday. During the arrest, the stolen gold chain, weighing 2.7 tolas, was recovered from his possession.

Police also seized the scooter, bearing registration number Ba. 90 Pa 6278, used in the robbery. Preliminary investigations revealed that he had methodically planned the theft, using the scooter to snatch the chain from the woman before fleeing. Dangol is currently being held in custody at the District Police Range, Lalitpur, as further investigations continue.
