Two individuals arrested in Kathmandu with unexplained cash

Kathmandu. Two individuals have been arrested in Kathmandu with a significant amount of unexplained cash. On Wednesday night, police apprehended two people from Kalanki, Kathmandu Metropolitan City-14, with 571,590 rupees in cash for which they could not provide a source.

The arrested individuals have been identified as 21-year-old Sachindra Pandit, a resident of Kirtipur, Kathmandu, originally from Bara, and 28-year-old Rajiv Thakur, originally from Rautahat. 

A team deployed from the Kalimati Police Circle made the arrests along with the seizure of the cash. The police stated that further investigation into the matter is currently underway.
