US Official S. Paul Kapur Concludes Nepal Visit

Kathmandu. The visit of S. Paul Kapur, who oversees South and Central Asian affairs at the US Department of State, has concluded. The US Embassy in Nepal stated that he is scheduled to return to the United States today, marking the end of his official visit.

During his visit, Kapur held high-level meetings focused on further strengthening Nepal-US relations. He met with Rastriya Swatantra Party Chairman Rabi Lamichhane, Foreign Minister Shishir Khanal, and Finance Minister Dr. Swarnim Wagle.

Discussions reportedly centered on bolstering bilateral ties and expanding trade relations. Kapur also engaged with the Nepali delegation attending the upcoming US investment summit to discuss potential investment opportunities. Furthermore, the embassy noted that he met with representatives from the American and Nepali private sectors to explore possibilities for expanding collaboration in Nepal's growing and dynamic technology sector.

During his stay, he visited the Boudhanath Stupa and Patan Durbar Square. The United States has been providing support for the preservation of these heritage sites through the Ambassador's Fund.
