ANFA Announces 35-Member Preliminary Squad for SAFF Women's Championship 2026

Kathmandu. The All Nepal Football Association (ANFA) has announced a 35-member preliminary squad for the upcoming SAFF Women's Championship 2026, which will be held in India.

Head coach of the Nepal women's national football team, Nabin Neupane, announced the 35-member preliminary squad for the tournament. ANFA stated that the first phase of closed-camp training under coach Neupane is scheduled to begin on Baisakh 14.

The eighth edition of the SAFF Championship is set to take place in Margao, Goa, India, from May 25 to June 7. Nepal has consistently been a strong contender in South Asian women's football, yet despite reaching the finals multiple times, the team has yet to secure the title. Under the leadership of coach Neupane, Nepal aims to enter the field with the goal of winning the title for the first time.

The selected preliminary squad includes Anjila Tumbapo Subba, Anjana Rana Magar, Anita Basnet, Anita Lamjel, Anita KC, Asmita Nepali, Barsha Oli, Bimala BK, Bimala Chaudhary, Birsana Chaudhary, Deepa Shahi, Gita Rana, Hira Bhujel, Jennifer Rana, Manmaya Damai, Mina Deuba, Neha Kumari Chaudhary, and Nisha Thokar.

Similarly, the squad includes Punam Chemjong, Pratikshya Chaudhary, Preeti Rai, Puja Rana, Purnima Rai, Rashmi Kumari Ghising, Rekha Poudel, Renuka Nagarkoti, Sabina Chaudhary, Sajani Thokar, Samiksha Ghimire, Saraswati Hamal, Saru Limbu, Silu Pariyar, Sukriya Miya, Sushila Kumari Chaudhary, and Usha Nath.
