Nepali Congress Disciplinary Committee Denies Withdrawing Explanation Request to Purna Bahadur Khadka

Kathmandu. The Central Disciplinary Committee of the Nepali Congress has stated that it has not made any decision to withdraw the explanation request issued to Purna Bahadur Khadka. 

Following a committee meeting held at the party office in Sanepa on Monday, Disciplinary Committee Coordinator Taraman Gurung stated that there had been no discussion regarding the withdrawal of the previous decision to seek an explanation. He noted that it had only been five days since the seven-day explanation notice was issued to Khadka. 

He asserted that the disciplinary committee is operating procedurally in accordance with the party's statute and that there is no question of a withdrawal. He clarified that they do not have the authority to act outside the party's statute and cannot provide further comments until the seven-day period for the explanation has elapsed. 

He also expressed the view that the disciplinary committee is focused on steering the party forward in a disciplined and dignified manner, rather than focusing on individuals.
