Iran signals potential cancellation of upcoming talks with the United States

Tehran. Iranian state media have indicated that the proposed talks with the United States are unlikely to take place in the immediate future. There are strong signals that Iran will not participate in the next round of negotiations, which were proposed to be held in Islamabad.

State television IRIB, citing Iranian sources, stated that 'there is currently no plan to participate in US-Iran talks.' Meanwhile, Fars News Agency and Tasnim News Agency have also reported that the environment for negotiations is not positive.

According to them, the lifting of sanctions imposed by the US is the primary condition for any dialogue. The state news agency IRNA also stated that due to the 'unrealistic and unreasonable demands' of the US, there is no possibility of meaningful talks under the current circumstances.
