Nigerian side Just Zone FC clinches first Khajura Gold Cup title

Nepalgunj. The Nigerian team Just Zone FC has won the title of the first MT Arena Khajura Gold Cup football tournament, which concluded today in Khajura, Banke.

In the final match held at the stadium in Khajura-4 D Gaun, Just Zone defeated JBM Club Lucknow, India, by 4-0 to secure the title. Kalav Kon scored two goals for Just Zone, while Edward Thomas and Olavi Afiz added one goal each.

During the tournament, Just Zone's goalkeeper Lekan Shittu was named best goalkeeper, Bilgo was awarded best defender and Man of the Match, and Edward was declared Player of the Series. Additionally, Kshitij Magar of JBM Lucknow was named best midfielder, and Nabin Mahato of Four Brothers FC, Nawalparasi, became the top scorer.

With the title, Just Zone received Rs 700,000, while runners-up JBM received Rs 400,000. Eight teams competed in the tournament, which began on Chaitra 30.
