Chitwan –Seven persons were killed in a bus accident that occurred at Ichhakamana rural municipality-3, Tumlingtar.
Deputy Superintendant of Police (DSP) Prabhu Prasad Dhakal confirmed that four men, two women and a child were killed in the road accident.
Five of them died on the spot and two lost their lives on the way to hospital for treatment.
Eleven among the injured are undergoing treatment in Chitwan while five are being treated in Pokhara and one in Dhading.
Police have continued its rescue efforts in the accident site.
The Pokhara-bound bus (Na 6 Kha 2506) from Kathmandu plunged into the Trishuli River when a truck (Na 5 Kha 7409) coming from opposite direction hit the commuter bus. ---
