Janakpurdham Sub-Metropolitan City Mandates Fee Disclosure for Private Schools

Janakpurdham. The Janakpurdham Sub-Metropolitan City has issued a formal notice requiring all private schools operating within its jurisdiction to submit comprehensive details, including their fee structures.

In a notice issued today by the Education and Sports Development Branch of the Sub-Metropolitan City, private schools have been directed to submit all necessary documentation, including the complete fee structure to be implemented for the 2083 academic session, within seven days.

The directive follows a decision made by the Municipal Education Committee during its meeting on Chaitra 30. The notice specifies that schools must clearly state the basis for their classification in accordance with the Institutional School Standards Directive, 2061, and the School Classification and Fee Determination Procedure, 2081.

Furthermore, Anju Pandey, head of the Education and Sports Development Branch, stated that schools must submit a detailed list of textbooks, teaching materials, and learning resources used for grades 1 through 12, including the names and addresses of the publishers.

She explained that the notice aims to curb irregularities, manage fee structures, and ensure transparency regarding educational materials. Schools failing to submit the required details within seven days of the notice's publication will face disciplinary action.
