Nepal Army's Pradeep Jung KC Emphasizes Self-Reliance in Welfare Programs

Kathmandu. Nepal Army's Chief of General Staff, Lieutenant General Pradeep Jung KC, has emphasized the need to make welfare activities income-generating and self-reliant. Addressing the 'Ex-Servicemen Meet and Reunion Program' held in Ramechhap, he stated that welfare initiatives should not be limited to distribution-oriented programs alone.

He noted that it is essential for military personnel to present themselves as responsible, disciplined, and dignified citizens in society not only while in service but also after retirement. He urged everyone to become productive, creative, and entrepreneurial at the local level.

Lieutenant General KC stated that the army has been making unparalleled contributions since the history of national unification. He emphasized that it is a shared responsibility to further develop the Nepal Army as a capable institution capable of facing current and future challenges and to pass it on to future generations.

He remarked that the role played by the Nepal Army in defending the country's sovereignty, along with its contributions to internal security, development, disaster management, and international peacekeeping, has established the army as a reliable and respected institution both at home and abroad.
