Gulariya, Bardiya –District Disaster Management Committee, Bardiya, with the financial support from all level levels in the district has handed over rescue materials to security bodies.
The rescue materials worth Rs 1.5 million were provided to District Police Office, Armed Police Force Border Security Office, Gulariya, Shivadal Battalion, Thakurdwara, Bhairab Prasad Security Company, Gulariya, and District Emergency Operation Centre.
Security personnel had been facing shortage of rescue materials during disaster in the district.
Chief District Officer Ram Bahadur Kurimbang said that the rescue materials provided to the security bodies would help to reduce loss of life and property during disaster.
Similarly, Superintendent of Police at APF Border Security Office, Gulariya, Krishna Koirala, said that such materials would be very useful to carry out rescue operation during disaster.
