Two missing after boat capsizes in Karnali River, Achham

Achham. Two people have gone missing after a boat capsized in the Karnali River at Bhairabsthan, Turmakhad Rural Municipality-3, Achham.

The missing individuals have been identified as 35-year-old Pahal Singh Budha and his 13-year-old son, Nari Budha, from Balde, Turmakhad Rural Municipality-3. On the evening of Baisakh 3, while returning with fodder from the forests of Panchapuri Municipality-7, Surkhet, across the Karnali River, the boat suddenly capsized, causing the father, who was operating the boat, and his son to go missing.

District Police Office Achham Chief, Deputy Superintendent of Police Om Prakash Khanal, stated that search teams from the Upper Karnali Temporary Police Security Base, Bhairabsthan Police Post, Dhungachalna, and Dhakari have been deployed, while a disaster rescue team from the Armed Police Force is en route to the incident site.
