Protesters in Kathmandu Demand Transparency on Ministers' Assets

Kathmandu. A protest was held in the capital on Monday regarding the public disclosure of assets by the Prime Minister and ministers. The demonstration was organized by the All Revolutionary at Maitighar.

They carried placards with slogans such as 'Gold for ministers, inflation for the public', 'If it is a government of the people, tell the truth to the people', 'Why do those who demanded accountability for others' assets yesterday hide their sources of income today?', and 'Gold-mine Prime Minister, Share-mine Home Minister'.

The Revolutionary stated that the protest was organized to pressure the government to disclose the sources of assets and to conduct an impartial investigation.
