Karnali Provincial Government Accelerates Completion of Stalled Stadium Project

 Surkhet. The government has finally taken steps to expedite the completion of the Karnali Provincial Stadium, which has been left in limbo for the past year.

Previously, the stadium, which is 99 percent complete, remained abandoned due to the failure to appoint a member secretary for the Sports Development Council in a timely manner.

Following the appointment of the member secretary, Chief Minister Yamlal Kandel has directed both the member secretary and the construction company to swiftly complete the remaining one percent of the work.

Addressing a meeting of the Provincial Sports Development Council on Saturday, Kandel stated that the budget for resuming the remaining work on the stadium has already been allocated.

‘Determine how much work remains, complete it, and create an environment to hand it over to the provincial government,’ he told the construction company, adding, ‘There should be no reason to stop work now; all parties must work together to complete the construction as quickly as possible.’
