Weather Update: Partial Cloud Cover and Isolated Rain Expected Across Nepal

Kathmandu. Nepal is currently experiencing weather fluctuations due to the partial influence of a western low-pressure system and local winds. According to the Department of Hydrology and Meteorology, the hilly and mountainous regions of the country are experiencing partial cloud cover, while the weather in the Terai region remains generally clear.

Today, Sunday, the hilly and mountainous areas of Koshi Province, along with other mountainous regions, are expected to be generally cloudy. While partial cloud cover is anticipated in the Terai of Koshi and other hilly regions, the rest of the Terai is expected to remain clear. 

However, there is a possibility of light rain or snowfall accompanied by thunder and lightning in a few places in the hilly and mountainous regions of Koshi Province, as well as the mountainous areas of Bagmati and Gandaki provinces. Similar signs of rain have been observed in one or two places in the hilly regions of Gandaki and other mountainous areas.

Meteorologists have urged caution, particularly in the Terai regions of Lumbini and Sudurpashchim provinces, due to the potential for strong winds today.
