Preparations Complete for 21st Fewa New Year Festival in Pokhara

Pokhara. Preparations for the 21st edition of the Fewa New Year Festival in Pokhara have been completed. The festival, which begins on Sunday, will run until Baisakh 1.

Organized on the road between Khahare and Sahid Chowk, the festival is expected to attract over 300,000 tourists. The opening ceremony will take place on Sunday following a cultural procession and rally from Khahare Chowk to Ambot.

Chairman Laxman Subedi stated that hotels will offer a 25 percent discount during the street festival, which emphasizes tourism, culture, and cuisine.

An offer has also been introduced providing up to 10 percent cashback for hotel bookings made via e-Sewa. Key attractions of the festival include an exhibition of provincial indigenous and traditional foods, a Panchebaja competition, and a tourist race.
