Twelve Football Training Center Launches Summer Football Camp 2026

Kathmandu. The 'Twelve Football Training Center' (TFTC), operated by former national football team captain Biraj Maharjan and goalkeeper Bikesh Kuthu, launched its 'Summer Football Camp 2026' this Saturday. Held at the Nepal Sports Fellowship ground in Satdobato, this special camp will run until Baisakh 5. On the first day, 61 students participated in the training.

The program was organized to address the risks to children's physical and mental health caused by excessive use of gadgets like phones, laptops, and TVs during their holidays. The training center aims to keep children away from electronic devices, attract them to the popular sport of football, and improve their overall health.

Children aged 4 to 16 are divided into age groups and are being trained by AFC-certified expert coaches. The camp was formally inaugurated by Nepal National and International Players Association President and former player Bikram Lama and Aegis Managing Director Suraj Magar.

The gym wear company 'Aegis' has supported this program. One of the main operators, Bikesh Kuthu, could not attend the inauguration as he is currently in Jhapa playing for the Tribhuvan Army Football Club in the Birat Gold Cup.

Active in developing children's football skills for the past six months, the center also provides grassroots training every Saturday. The training center has announced that it will provide a one-year full scholarship to two promising trainees who perform exceptionally well during the summer camp. This training is being conducted according to a special 'Development Plan' for the holistic growth of the children.
